pockemon_PANO

Vendredi 18 novembre  / Espace Bel Air - St-Aubin-du-Cormier  / 20h30

Interprètes : Sileymane CISSOKHO, Jean-Michel GAST, Akeem HOUSSAM, Jessica NOITA, Ibrahima SISSOKO, Mined YAHIAOUI.

POCKEMON CREW

[Translate to Anglais:] Pockemon_Crew

FRIDAY 2 DECEMBER – LE TRIANGLE

It was bound to happen one day, the Pockemon, essentially an all male crew, finally confronts the feminine principle. In this particular work they will encounter a contemporary dancer. Each meeting will represent a challenge for the choreography as well as for the dancers of the crew – a challenge, yes, but also an ocean of possibilities! A necessary alliance of talents and a scene uniquely dedicated to a dance on a perilous wire. Hypothesis of the show: what if the woman had the power to organise chaos, to give meaning and shape to disorder?

The effect of this feminine presence in an all male crew unfolds in many paintings: the strange meeting of diametrically opposed passers by in a street, stoned golden boys with their eyes fixed on the curves of the stock market presaging their bankruptcy. Femininity transforming chaos into choreography, cacophony into harmony.

This new creation follows a first project presented at the Opéra de Lyon, integrating a singer and an actress after a collaboration with the contemporary choreographer Thomas Stache.

 THRUSDAY 24 NOVEMBER / 14:30 – LE TRIANGLE

Screening of the film les pas dans les pas and conference by ZAZA DISDIER
The project LES PAS DANS LES PAS, conceived in 2005 by the choreographer Zaza Disdier, gave birth to multiple artistic forms (choreographies, three short films presented in an exhibition, a 52-minute long documentary).

Zaza Disdier who followed the hip-hop movement since 1994, wished to interrogate the first actors of these "street” dances, inhabitants of big ensembles, giving rise to urban cultures.

This investigative work highlights a young choreographic movement at its beginning as well as the atypical experience of the older dancers from different origins.

She insists on creating portraits, living testimonies of hip-hop dancers of the first generation whether they ended up as professional dancers, neighbourhood leading figures, representatives or simply family men.

Her project aims to establish the bases for a new memory tool that allows the conservation and the valorisation of these 1980s pioneers; to build a first repertoire of this contemporary heritage and to question the links between these generations of dancers as well as the evolution of their techniques or the influence that hip-hop dance has on their live through their current activities.
